Intro:
After the usual disclaimer, we were off…
6 Pax gathered early on a Saturday morning to welcome back the prodigal son of Mr. Rodgers. Little did they know, they were unwillingly entering a combine in which their fast-twitch muscles would be put to the test.
Warmarama: The workout began with a deceivingly calm dynamic warmup that included various yoga stretches and running.
The Thang:
SPRINTS:
The “Bags”: the Pax performed a classic football conditioning drill in which
one foot, two feet, and various shuffles were placed between bags and a sprint at each
end of the drill was mandatory.
5-10-5 Pro Agility Shuffle: The Pax paired up and raced each other to determine who
was the quickest.
L-Drill: a bunch of variations of shuffling, backpedaling, and sprinting.
The “Breakdown” Drill: The Pax had to start in a backpedal and then make a 45 degree
break on the cone to show off their Linebacking abilities.
“Blood Alley”: The Pax had to perform seat rolls on command, do a front roll and then
bear crawl into a dive to touch the finish line. Pax then had to do jumps and burpees
before finishing with a sprint out of the now “bloody” alley.
COT:
Since it was the 6th of the month, the 6th Pax in the Countarama explained what F3 meant to them. Appropriately, YHC was the 6th, so the explanation was given about how much F3 means to him.
This beautiful morning was topped off with the presentation of a beautifully-crafted shovel flag for YHC’s rag-tag F3 out in Redlands, California!
Thanks for the warm reception, and, until next time, God Bless!
