Blimps & Bombs for the Burpees

The Thang:
Asked the M for 5 things YHC could use for markers and she mentioned the Children at Play sandwich board, which YHC had no idea they even owned. Bull Husky took that to the 50 yd line, or what he guessed was the 50 yd line. The rest of the Pax placed mini lights at the 40, 30, 20, and 10 yd line. YHC realized that he may need a new headlamp, since that was the one light that failed to stay on. Guess no PTR for him this week.

B.L.I.M.P.S. (OYO)
10 – Burpees at the goal line
Run to the 10 yard line
10 – Lunges
Run BACK to the goal line – 10 Burpees
Run to the 10, perform 10 more lunges as before.
Run to the 20 – 15 Imperial Walkers
Back to the Goal Line – 10 Burpees

Continued this progression until we hit 20 Merkins at the 30, 25 Plank Jacks at the 40, then 30 Squats at the 50. Finished with 10 burpees at the goal line for good measure.

B.O.M.B.S. – After short recovery, Pax partnered up for B.O.M.B.S. There was some mumble chatter that both B’s were going to be Burpees, and were pleasantly surprised to learn that wouldn’t be the case.

Partner A ran to the 50 yd line and back while Partner B did the exercise.

Due to time constraint, YHC stopped the workout after the Big Boy Situps and brought the Pax back to the SF.

Minutes of Mary:
Had just enough time for American Hammers: IC x 25

“Pick Up the Six” for the 6th of the month actually fell on the Q so YHC discussed what F3 means to him. Shared something from “Freed to Lead” that seemed pretty apropos for January, the month of Resolutions.

Pogo40 – “The afflicted man is either climbing towards ‘Good Shape’ (40 pounds down) or sliding back down to ‘Fat Pants’ (40 pounds up).” A man needs a workout partner to do life with to break this back and forth cycle.

Prayed for Moonshot’s mother, for all the teachers and the students as we continue to navigate distance learning.

Afterward, Pointer announced how he has accepted his new name because he is always so tired after every beatdown that he cannot talk to anyone. As a result, all he can do is simply point at members of the Pax as a form of primitive communication.
