The Thang:
PAX started off with a Bataan Death March around the park.
We then paired up in teams of two for the scrabble challenge. Each team started on the north end of the playground and did 8 merkins, 8 WWII sit-ups and 8 squats before running and grabbing a letter tile from a bag on the south end of the playground. The team would then run back to the starting point.
Rinse and repeat until a team can spell a 3 letter word. Once a team is able to spell a word the game reset and all the tiles went back in the bag. The winning team then has to spell a 4 letter word while the rest of the teams were still trying to spell a 3 letter word. Several teams were able to get 4 letter words. The father-son combo of Mr. Rogers and Bull Husky managed a 5 letter word with with a winning word of “LUMPY”.
We managed a few minutes of Mary at the end with the following:
