Started at 0530 sharp at the flag (wait, was there a flag… we were flagless! Ugh 😩 🇺🇸). Warmarama: R and L side lungs, slow stretches x 3 each side. Same forward and backward. Believe PAX were feeling spunky and giving the Q grief about stretching (will they never learn!). Forward arm circles in cadence x 25 (keep arms up between set changes), backward arm circles, overhead claps, iron crosses, and seal claps. Mosey!
The Thang:
Theme is Ocsober BD! For those who did not participate so far, today they will join us during this BD to honor a pledge of sobriety for the month of October. Started with 3 sets of Get Up to the bars; 15 bench step ups, 15 barstool sit downs, 15 Derkins. Mosey to 48th parallel. Plank with 10 second count. Everyone on line for 100 yard drunken Karaoke; coming back was “roll out the barrels”… partner wheel barrels 50 yards then switch. Rinse and repeat, many opted for hops on the way back. From the parallel, inch worm to Focker Hill (it is an inch at a time to sobriety). The 12 steps!!! Countdown format.., Bonnie Blair’s at bottom and Burpees at the top of the hill starting from 1 bottom and 11 top! PAX heading toward acceptance and got real quiet… no one giving Q grief now!!! Mosey to circle. @panther lead set of Russian Twist (hill Billie style – drink in middle) for mary! (In cadence 20).
COT:
Countarama and namearama! Great to see @stu back!!! No FNG or DR today. Great group of men. Q read the 12 steps from AA and asked PAX to think on them and if they could apply some of these steps in their life. Q then asked each man to name one person to put into prayer today… went around the circle with Q wrapping up the meditation. We stand by our brothers with alcohol and drug issues! Sobriety is tough work!
