AO: The Furnace
Beatdown Date: 09/26/2020
Pax: Chief, Dora 1.2.3, Focker, Lambert, Spaetzle, Sweater Vest, U-Haul, Wax Off
Met up in the circle with coupons in hand. Apparently Spaetzle and Wax Off didn’t get the memo because they were empty handed. Focker graciously lent Spaetzle Panther’s half block and Wax Off was given Chief’s super sized split face block.
Grass Grabbers x 12
Hill Billy Walkers x 12
Carolina Dry Docks x 12
Motivators x 5
Started with a mosey around the park carrying the blocks. Q would alternate blocks up and blocks down to indicate whether the blocks should be held on shoulder or above head.
Ended at the field where we did Bears and Blocks across the field west to east. After that we took a break by doing 20 SSH.
All blocks were left except one and we stared off on an indian run around the neighborhood. The last person in line would carry the block and run to the front of the line. The block would then be passed down the line of pax while running to the last person. Wash rinse and repeat.
Got back to the field and did a round of Colt 45 IC (In hindsight, doing this in cadence is a bit much). Q left his gloves on the other side of the field so we had to do Bears and Blocks back across the field to retrieve them.
Once there, we did a round of Blocktanamo and then started back across the field doing Bucket Brigade Lunge. Everyone was pretty much smoked at this point so we made it maybe 30 yards before throwing in the towel and finishing up with a short mosey around the park while holding the block behind our backs.
4 for the Core (welcome back Dora 1,2,3)
Low Slow Flutter Kicks while holding block above head
Block Plank Shoulder Touches
Despite the diminutive size of Spaetzle’s block he showed us all that he can use it well. Wax Off will likely be buying his own block so that he doesn’t have to use Chief’s.
Q reminded everyone that quarantine has been difficult for everyone but especially on those who are alone. Think of someone who might be alone and reach out to them with a call or text. Prayer for U-Haul’s and Chief’s pregnant M.
