Intro:
Gave the disclaimer, while taking some heat, I started a minute late but I was being kind to some guys that showed up at the buzzer. Off we went on a little mosey, then circled up to get the muscles warm. 12x Imperial Walkers, 12x Hillbilly Walkers, 50x SSH in cadence immediately followed by 50x knee slaps in cadence. Stretched out the legs and then off we went to the school parking lot.
The Thang:
This beatdown was originally designed by our very own, fearless leader, Chief. We put a little bit of a spin on the original “lap” format, but it went something like this. Suicides down the parking lot. Four points marked by either medians or a wall at the end. At each point the PAX did 4x SSH, 4x Burpees, 4x Plank Jacks, and then a 4 second Plank. Simple right??! One round = one lap. We did four rounds and let’s just say the mumble chatter was humming by the end of the second round! Not quite as easy as it looks. Funny story of the day is Andrew Kozusko (FNG: knickers) resembles another PAX member and was immediately mistaken (by your Q) as the other guy. I must have called him by the wrong name four different times, encouraging him, and pushing him along. Which, he didn’t need. The guy is jacked and a REALLY good addition to the group. We all hope he’ll be back and next time he won’t be mistaken!!
COT:
For Mary, why not keep the tradition going: 4x SSH in cadence, 4x Burpees in cadence, 4x Plank Jacks in Cadence, and 4 Sec Plank in Cadence. Circled up, shout out to PAX member 007 who is doing 22x merkins a day for veterans suffering from PTSD. In form, we also did 22x merkins during COT in cadence. Post merkins we prayed it out and concluded by naming Knickers. It was in COT that I realized I had the wrong guy, and the embarrassing part, it was me and SV that EH’d him!!! I bought him coffee as a formal apology, and he got a GREAT name. Knickers is in reference to golf and specifically the great, late, Payne Stewart. Payne was a high impact man and without question would have been a great addition to any PAX!
